Winter Soup Party
Sunday February 17th
Our annual "Why does the new year have to begin with winter?" Soup Party
will be hosted at the home of Don and Suzanne Stewart. This late winter
tradition gives you a chance to get out of the house and shake off a little cabin
fever. it is also when we when we hold our election of club officers, so it is
mostly, if not all, fun and games. Arrive around 1:00pm for appetizers. Soup
and homemade bread should be ready at 3:00pm. My cream of mushroom
soup is on the menu as well as freshly baked bread. Suzanne's soup choice
will be the usual spur-of -the-moment selection. Let us know what you would
like to contribute, so we can even out the amount of appetizers, snacks,
beverages, and desserts. Of course you don't need to bring anything, as we
always have too much food to completely consume, no matter how hard we try!
From Route 28 North or South, exit at Fox Chapel Road. Turn right onto Fox
Chapel Road at the end of the exit ramp. Continue to the traffic light at
Freeport Road. Fox Chapel Plaza is on the left, and Get-Go on the right at this
intersection. Turn left onto Freeport Road. Turn left at the first road, South
Oak Hill Road. Continue to the top of the hill to a tee at Rockingham Road.
Turn left onto Rockingham and the immediately right onto Canterbury Drive.
We are at 324 Canterbury Drive on the left, just beyond the second hill. We
will have our MG Club banner flying outside.
